Sunapee District is one of eight districts in New Hampshire’s Daniel Webster Council. It stretches nearly the entire length of the state, along the Connecticut River.

Outdoor Adventure!
We help youth develop self-reliance and resourcefulness through our outdoor programs.
One of Daniel Webster Council’s camps is in Sunapee District: the Unity Program Center. AKA Camp Unity, it is a five-acre property with an indoor facility, an outdoor stage and camping and event areas located on Mica Mine Road in Unity, New Hampshire. It abuts county land with trails and a pond.
The region is full of mountains to climb, trails to explore, lakes to kayak, and creeks to swim.
We hope to repeat our 2013 “Camporee on the Connecticut” this year, with several Troops canoeing from Ashley’s Landing to Hoyt’s Landing on the Connecticut River.
Scouting builds character and skills

An Inclusive Program
BSA has included girls for years in its Sea Scouts, Venturing, and Explorers programs. In 2018, girls were also welcomed into Cub Scouts.
In 2019, BSA Scouting (formerly “Boy Scouts”) chartered its first Troops for girls. Many of the these are affiliated with a Troop for boys and participate in the same Scouting program.

Committed to Youth Safety
All BSA leaders must take Youth Protection Training regularly, follow its guidelines, and maintain two-deep leadership at all times.
The latest COVID-19 guidelines from Daniel Webster Council can be found here: https://nhscouting.org/coronavirus/
Join Us!
Sunapee District serves all youth starting in Kindergarten to age 21.
At NHScouting.org, you can find a BSA unit near you. The local leaders will be happy to invite you to visit a meeting to share how their program works and the exciting things they have planned.
